Volunteer at Imire
Support Imire's conservation and community efforts
Imire Rhino and Wildlife Conservancy is a stunning reserve set in the heart of Zimbabwe, just an hour and half drive away from the capital Harare. Imire's vision is to enhance the relationship between tourism, conservation programmes and community areas through long-term, sustainable environmental management and positive community projects. The conservancy is home to three orphaned elephants and two rewilded cheetahs, and boasts a successful rhino rebreeding programme, as well as a whole host of other stunning wildlife. You can play a part in this incredible vision by volunteering at Imire from anywhere between 1-12 weeks. Below is a list of the type of activities you will be taking part in whilst volunteering there;
-
Work closely alongside rhinos, elephants and abundance of other wildlife
-
Carry out cheetah monitoring, data capture and record observations
-
Assist with anti-poaching efforts to ensure the continued safety of the animals
-
Educate local school-children about conservation, wildlife and the environment
-
Learn more about wildlife conservation, threats to our animals’ existence and what is involved in the management of a wildlife conservancy.
