Kruger Conservation Trip
It was incredible to share your passion, see the great work you are doing, experience nature at its finest, learn more about everyone and I can honestly agree, connection with each other and the planet was truly a life experience and one I'll never forget.
Janice, annual trip 2023.
In October 2023, Connected Planet ran its first ever group trip to Kruger National Park, South Africa. The 10-day trip included a tour of the Southern Section of Kruger National Park, taking in the park's majestic wildlife. The group had epic sightings of cheetah, rhino, lions, wild dog and much more. We then headed out of the park to visit our community conservation partners, The Bushbabies environmental education programme and Koru Camp. The group also got to spend a night in the park with some local Grannies from the Bushbabies programme, in a completely unique experience. They shared stories and life experiences and showed the group how to dance the South African way. All funds raised from the trip went back into projects around Kruger National Park including the Grannies stay in the park.
Want to take a walk on the wild side? Given the success of the first trip, our plan is to make the Kruger Conservation Trip an annual event. You can get to spend 10 days in the Kruger region of South Africa, taking in the wonders of the park's wildlife. A home to wonderful wildlife such as elephants, rhinos, lions and wild dogs. The trip is also a unique chance to visit our community conservation projects in the area and spend time with the communities that border the Kruger. 2024'S trip is fully booked, however if you'd like to join us in 2025 please hit the contact form at the bottom of this page. Included in the cost is a donation to Connected Planet and you will get to visit the programmes that you have funded.
