Boots on the Ground

About the Event
Connected Planet Foundation is hosting a family-friendly military-style boot camp in support of this years World Ranger Day.
Put on your green kit and lets run, crawl, shout and burpee our way across Hurst Park - having the most amount of fun whilst raising vital funds for Nambiti Game Reserve's Anti Poaching Unit in South Africa. These rangers put their lives on the line everytime they head out on patrol, in order to protect amazing animals like rhino from being poached. While we are tucked up in bed, they patrol through the bush for hours at a time, to ensure no animals are being harmed.
All proceeds from Boots on the Ground will go towards buying the rangers some new boots, so that they can do their job in the best possible kit. The bush is unforgiving terrain and home to some of the most dangerous animals on the planet. Having suitable kit is vital for survival.
Everyone is welcome whatever your fitness level. You will be taking part in some of the exercises that rangers have to do to keep bush fit! What better excuse to get active and have fun, whilst supporting wildlife heroes on the other side of the planet!
